Tanini is an Albanian artist, poet, green activist, journalist, and essayist. He studied painting at the “Jordan Misja” Lyceum and graduated in Philosophy and Sociology from the University of Tirana.
He is a man who loves nature, trees, and the colour yellow. For this reason, he also loves cycling. As the artist puts it: “I come from everywhere and I was born in a year with numbers”. Every now and then, he donates blood as a way of sharing the essence of life with those in need.

Following a period working as a journalist across various radio and television stations, he now operates as a freelancer, writing for a handful of newspapers and magazines. He is also active on social media and runs his own blog, “Letra nga Republika e Shkarravinave” (Letters from the Republic of Scribbles). In addition, he is passionately committed to preserving nature and co-founded the “Plant Your Own Tree” initiative alongside his friends. In under two years, more than 11,000 trees have been planted across Albania!

It might almost seem as though making art is merely a hobby for this creator, but nothing could be further from the truth. He spends the greater part of his days in discussions with local authorities to bring more vibrant colour to the urban landscape. From painting small-scale interventions with local artists to wrapping colossal buildings and structures in a fresh coat of paint, he is constantly ‘creating’ and evolving his distinctive personal style.
