TREEPACK Cookie Policy

This document informs Users about the technologies that enable TREEPACK to achieve the purposes described below. These technologies allow the Owner to retrieve information over time and to store information (for example through a Cookie) or to execute utilities (for example through a script) on a User's device while interacting with TREEPACK.

For the sake of convenience, all these technologies will be referred to as "Trackers" in this document - unless there is a reason to make a distinction.
For example, although cookies can be used in both web browsers and mobile browsers, it would be incorrect to speak of cookies in the context of mobile apps, as cookies are browser-based trackers. Therefore, in this document, the term Cookies is only used to refer to that specific type of Tracker.

For certain purposes for which Trackers are installed, the consent of the User is also required. Once consent has been given, it may be freely withdrawn at any time in accordance with the instructions in this document.

TREEPACK uses Trackers directly managed by the Owner (so-called own Trackers) and Trackers for the provision of services provided by third parties (so-called third party Trackers). To the extent not otherwise specified in this document, third party suppliers have access to Trackers managed by them.
The validity periods and expiry periods of Own Cookies and other similar Trackers may vary depending on the lifetime set by the Owner or the respective supplier. Some expire upon termination of the User's browser session.
In addition to what is indicated in the descriptions in each of the categories below, Users can find more precise and updated information on the lifetime specification, as well as any other relevant information - such as the presence of other Trackers - in the linked privacy policies of the relevant third party providers or by contacting the Owner.

Activities that are strictly necessary for the operation of TREEPACK and the provision of the Service

TREEPACK uses so-called technical Cookies and other similar Trackers to perform activities that are strictly necessary for the operation or provision of the Service.

Managing preferences and giving or withdrawing consent

There are several ways to manage preferences in relation to Trackers and, where applicable, to give or withdraw consent:

Users can manage preferences regarding Trackers directly from their own device settings, for example by preventing the storage of Trackers.

Furthermore, when the use of Trackers is based on consent, Users may give or withdraw such consent by setting their preferences in the cookie notification or by updating such preferences via the relevant consent preferences widget, if available.

It is also possible to delete previously stored Trackers via targeted browser or device functions, including Trackers used to store the User's original consent.

Other trackers in the browser's local memory can be deleted by clearing the browsing history.

With regard to Third Party Trackers, Users may manage their preferences and withdraw their consent through the relevant opt-out link (if any), by using the means indicated in the third party's privacy policy, or by contacting the third party.

Find tracker settings

Users can, for example, find information on managing cookies in the most commonly used browsers at the following addresses:

Users may also control certain categories of Trackers used in mobile apps by opting out through relevant device settings, such as mobile device advertising settings or tracking settings in general (Users may go to device settings and search for the relevant setting).

Specific opt-outs for the advertising sector

Independently of the above, Users may also follow the instructions of YourOnlineChoices (EU), the Network AdvertisingInitiative (US) and the Digital Advertising Alliance (US), DAAC (Canada), DDAI (Japan) or other similar services. These initiatives allow Users to indicate their tracking preferences for most advertising tools. The Owner recommends that Users use this tool in addition to the information provided in this document.

The Digital Advertising Alliance has released an app, called AppChoices, which allows users to manage interest-based ads in mobile apps.

Given the objective complexity surrounding tracking technologies, we recommend that Users contact the Owner if they require further information about TREEPACK's use of these technologies.
