Personal Data may be provided by the User or, in the case of Usage Data, automatically collected during the use of TREEPACK.

Unless otherwise specified, the provision of all Data requested by TREEPACK is mandatory and TREEPACK may not be able to provide its Services if you do not provide such Data. In cases where TREEPACK specifically states that certain Data is not required, Users may choose to provide that Data or not, without affecting the availability or operation of the Service.

If Users are unsure which Personal Data should be provided, they may contact the Owner.

The use of Cookies - or other tracking tools - by TREEPACK or by the Owners of third party services used by TREEPACK is intended to provide the Service requested by the User, in addition to the other purposes stated in this document and in any Cookie Policy.

Users are responsible for third party Personal Data obtained, published or shared by TREEPACK, and they confirm that they have the third party's consent to provide the Data to the Owner.

Processing method

The Owner shall take appropriate security measures to prevent unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or destruction of the Data.

The processing of the Data is carried out using computers and/or IT tools, according to organisational procedures and practices that are closely aligned with the stated purposes. In addition to the Owner, in certain cases the Data may also be accessible to certain managers involved in the operation of TREEPACK (management, sales, marketing, legal affairs, system administration) or to external parties designated by the Owner as Data Processors (such as external technical service providers, mail programs, hosting providers, IT companies, communication agencies). The updated list of these parties can be requested from the Owner at any time.

Legal basis for processing

The Owner may process Personal Data relating to Users in any of the following cases, if:

Location

The Data shall be processed at the registered office of the Owner and at other locations where parties involved in the processing are located.

Depending on the location of Users, the transfer of Personal Data may involve the transfer of User Data to a country other than their own. For more information on the processing location of such transferred Data, Users may refer to the article describing the processing of Personal Data.

Users also have the right to be informed of the legal basis for the transfer of Data to a country outside the European Union or to an international organisation under international public law or established by two or more countries, such as the UN, and of the security measures taken by the Owner to protect their Data.

Storage period

Personal data is processed and kept as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.

Therefore, the following applies:

Personal data collected for purposes connected with the performance of an agreement between the Owner and the User shall be retained until such agreement has been fully performed.

Personal data collected for the legitimate interests of the Owner are retained for as long as necessary to fulfil these purposes. Users can find specific information regarding the Owner's legitimate interests in the relevant articles of this document or by contacting the Owner.

The Owner may be permitted to retain Personal Data for a longer period where the User has consented to such processing, as long as such consent is not withdrawn. In addition, the Owner may be obliged to retain Personal Data for a longer period if this is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation or by order of a public authority.

After the expiry of the retention period, the Personal Data will be deleted. Therefore, the right to access, the right to erasure, the right to rectification and the right to data portability cannot be imposed after the expiry of the retention period.

The Data relating to the User is collected so that the Owner can provide its Service, comply with its legal obligations, respond to enforcement requests, protect its rights and interests (or those of its Users or third parties), detect malicious or fraudulent activities, and for the following purposes: Analytics, User contact, Data linking, Spam protection, Tag management, Display of content from external platforms, User database management, Marketing, Heatmaps and session registration, Interaction with online survey platforms, Management of data collection and online surveys, Advertising, Interaction with live chat platforms, Registration and verification, Remarketing and behavioural advertising and Registration and verification directly by TREEPACK.

Detailed information on the processing of personal data

Personal data is collected for the following purposes using the following services:

Advertising

In the case of this type of service, User data may be used for advertising communications. These communications take the form of banners and other advertisements on TREEPACK, which may be based on the User's interests.

This does not mean that all Personal Data will be used for this purpose. Information and conditions of use are set out below.

Certain services listed below may use Trackers to identify Users or they may apply a behavioral retargeting technique, i.e. display ads tailored to the User's interest and behavior, including outside TREEPACK. For more information on this, please refer to the privacy policies of the relevant services.
In addition to the opt-out features offered by any of the services below, Users may also opt-out at the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page.

Users may also opt-out of certain advertising features through applicable device settings, such as the advertising settings on the device itself for mobile phones or advertising settings in general.

LinkedIn Ads is an advertising service offered by LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company.

The services described in this section enable the Owner to track and analyse Internet traffic, and this may be used to chart usage behaviour.

Facebook Ads conversion tracking (Facebook pixel) (Facebook Ireland Ltd)

Facebook Ads conversion tracking (Facebook pixel) is an analytics service provided by Facebook Ireland Ltd. that links data from the Facebook ad network to actions performed by TREEPACK. The Facebook pixel tracks conversions attributed to ads on Facebook, on Instagram and in the Audience Network.

Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited)

Google Analytics is a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited ("Google"). Google will use the data collected to track and investigate the use of TREEPACK, compile reports on the activity and share it with other Google services.
Google may use the collected data to frame and personalize the advertisements provided by its own advertising network.

Google Analytics with anonymised IP (Google Ireland Limited)

Google Analytics is a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited ("Google"). Google will use the data collected to track and investigate the use of TREEPACK, compile reports on the activity and share it with other Google services.
Google may use the collected data to frame and personalize the ads of its own advertising network.
This integration of Google Analytics anonymises your IP address. This is done by truncating the IP addresses of the Users in the Member States of the European Union or in other states within the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server and truncated in the USA.

User database management

These types of services allow the Owner to create user profiles from an email address, a proper name, or other information that the User provides to TREEPACK, and to track the User's activities through analytics functions. This Personal Data may also be linked to publicly available information about the User (such as profiles in social networks) and used to build private profiles that the Owner may display and use to improve TREEPACK.

Certain services may also periodically send messages to the User, such as email messages based on specific actions performed in TREEPACK.

SendinBlue Marketing Automation (SendinBlue SAS)

SendinBlue is a user database management service offered by SendinBlue SAS.

Management of data collection and online surveys

This type of service allows TREEPACK to manage the creation, execution, distribution and analysis of online forms and surveys in order to collect, store and re-use the data of Users who respond.
The personal data collected depend on the information requested and provided by the Users in the relevant web form.

These services can be integrated with a wide range of third party services that enable the Owner to take follow-up action with the processed data, for example contact management, messaging, analysis, advertising and payment processing.

Hotjar surveys (Hotjar Ltd.)

Hotjar Surveys provides a survey creation function and a data collection platform offered by Hotjar Ltd.
Hotjar Surveys may use cookies to track user behaviour. Users can disable tracking cookies from Hotjar Surveys on this logout page.

Hotjar surveys respect the Do-Not-Track option available in most modern browsers which, when enabled, sends a special signal not to track the User's activities. Users can find more information on enabling Do-Not-Track for each supported browser here.

Facebook lead ads (Facebook Ireland Ltd)

Facebook lead ads is an advertising and data collection service provided by Facebook Ireland Ltd that allows form-based ads to be displayed to Users pre-populated with personal information from their Facebook profile, such as name and email address. Depending on the type of ad, Users may be asked to provide more information.

Submission of the form will result in the collection and processing of this Data by Owner in accordance with this Privacy Policy, and only for the specific purpose described on the form and/or within this Privacy Policy, if so specified. 

Users may exercise their rights at any time, including the right to withdraw their consent to the processing of their Data, as indicated in the Information on User Rights section of this Privacy Policy.

Contact form (TREEPACK)

By filling in the contact form with his/her details, the User authorises TREEPACK to use these details to respond to requests for information, requests for quotes and other types of requests mentioned in the header of the form.

Mailing list or newsletter (TREEPACK)

By subscribing to the mailing list or the newsletter, the User's email address is added to the list of contacts who can receive email messages containing information of a commercial or promotional nature related to TREEPACK. Your email address may also be added to this list when you sign up for TREEPACK or after making a purchase.

Heatmaps and session recording

Heatmap services are used to indicate which parts of TREEPACK users come into contact with most often. This identifies areas of interest. These services can be used to view and analyse website traffic and track user behaviour.
Certain services can record sessions and make them available later for visual display.

Hotjar is a session recording and heat mapping service provided by Hotjar Ltd.
Hotjar adheres to standard "Do Not Track" headers. This means that your browser can tell the script not to store any of your data. This is a setting available in all major browsers. You can find Hotjars opt-out information here.

These types of services allow direct interaction with external live chat platforms from TREEPACK pages, so that you can contact or be contacted by the TREEPACK support service.
If one of these services is installed, it may collect browsing and Usage Data on the pages on which it is installed, even if the Users are not actively using the service. In addition, live chat conversations may be recorded.

Facebook Messenger customer chat (Facebook Ireland Ltd)

The Facebook Messenger Customer Chat is a service for interacting with the Facebook Messenger live chat platform provided by Facebook Ireland Ltd.

Interacting with online survey platforms

This type of service allows direct interaction with external online survey platforms from the TREEPACK pages.

If one of these services is installed, it can collect Browsing and Usage data on the pages where the service is installed, even if the users are not actively using the service.

The Hotjar Poll & Survey widgets are services that enable interaction with the Hotjar platform, provided by Hotjar Ltd.

Facebook Oauth is a registration and authentication service offered by Facebook Ireland Ltd, linked to the Facebook network.

Registration and verification directly by TREEPACK

By registering or verifying, the User agrees that TREEPACK can recognise him and grant him access to the specific services. Personal data is collected and stored for registration or identification purposes only. Only the data necessary to provide the service requested by the Users are collected.

Direct registration (TREEPACK)

The User registers by completing the registration form and providing the Personal Data directly to TREEPACK.

This type of service allows TREEPACK and its partners to optimise and offer advertising based on the User's previous use of TREEPACK.
This activity is made possible through the tracking of Usage Data and the use of Trackers. This information is passed to partners who manage remarketing and behavioural advertising activities.
Certain services offer a remarketing option based on lists of email addresses.
In addition to the opt-out features offered by any of the services listed below, Users may also opt-out at Network Advertising Initiative's Opt-out page.

Users may also opt-out of certain advertising features through applicable device settings, such as the advertising settings on the device itself for mobile phones or advertising settings in general.

Facebook Remarketing is a remarketing and behavioural advertising service provided by Facebook Ireland Ltd that links TREEPACK's activity to Facebook's advertising network.

These services analyse TREEPACK traffic, which may contain Users' Personal Data, to filter out portions of traffic, messages and content identified as spam.

The use of reCAPTCHA is subject to the privacy policy Google terms and conditions.

Automated decision-making

Automated decision making means that a decision which produces legal effects or a similar significant effect on the User is made exclusively by technological means, without any human intervention.

TREEPACK may use User Personal Data to make decisions based in whole or in part on automated processes, in accordance with the purposes described in this document.

TREEPACK uses automated decision-making processes to the extent that this is necessary for the conclusion or performance of a contract between the User and the Owner, or on the basis of the User's express consent, if such consent is required by law.

Automated decisions are made using technological means - usually based on algorithms according to predefined criteria - which can also be provided by third parties. The rationale behind automated decision-making is:

• to enable or otherwise improve the decision-making process;
• to give Users fair and unbiased treatment, based on consistent and uniform criteria

Rights of Users

Users may exercise certain rights with respect to their Data processed by the Owner.

In particular, users have the right to do the following:

• To withdraw their consent at any time. Users have the right to withdraw their consent if they have previously given their consent to the processing of their Personal Data.
• Object to the processing of their Data. Users have the right to object to the processing of their Data if the processing is carried out on a legal basis other than consent. More information can be found in the specific article below.
• Access to their Data. Users have the right to know whether the Owner is processing Data, to become acquainted with certain aspects of the processing and to obtain a copy of the Data that is being processed.

Where Personal Data are processed in the public interest, in the exercise of official authority vested in the Owner or for the protection of the Owner's legitimate interests, the User may object to such processing by providing a reasoned justification relating to his or her particular situation.

However, the User should be aware that, if his Personal Data are processed for direct marketing purposes, he may object at any time, without giving any reasons, to such processing. How to exercise these rights

How requests not to track your surfing traffic are processed

TREEPACK does not support Do Not Track requests for your web traffic.

The Owner reserves the right to change this privacy policy at any time by notifying Users on this page and possibly within TREEPACK and/or - to the extent technically and legally possible - by notifying Users through the contact information available to the Owner. All data which directly, indirectly or in combination with other data - including a personal identification number - make it possible to identify or identify a natural person.
