Together with the Ekeren District, we called on the help of skaters and Ekeren residents to find a creative solution to make the new skate park more attractive. From many votes, this design by Simon Mannaerts was chosen!
A real experience
Ekeren was looking for a creative solution to upgrade its new skatepark. Therefore, with colourful and playful street art, we transformed the site to create a pleasant atmosphere and experience for skaters, athletes, visitors and passers-by.
With the help of a participative preliminary process, we involved the skaters and inhabitants of Ekeren in this project. They are the users of the site and are therefore involved in this project as much as possible.
We are big fans of the result of Antwerp street artist Simon Mannaerts!
