Artist Simon Mannaerts was inspired for this design by the input provided by the municipality of Kalmthout. "Forever in motion!" is the essence of this artwork. It encourages passers-by, young and old, to keep moving in a playful way.
On the left, younger generations can be seen following the example of their older neighbors in harmony with local nature. The generation with a slightly older age then rediscovers itself again on the right part of the wall. For example, a cool grandfather skates through the tunnel and a scooter is shown in grandmotherly fashion.
The abstract and colorful design speaks for itself and the composition was determined in such a way that the tunnel will leave a safe and inspiring impression on passersby. This work of art is guaranteed to bring a smile to the audience.
