Standing still for a few seconds in your car at an intersection, that is precisely a pleasure by the sight of a beautiful mural. With passion for street art, Treepack was able to bring this project in Tienen to fruition. The painted strand of plants intertwined with water may take time to experience, only then do you spot the bright yellow thirteen-dotted ladybug.
Previously, the landscape of Tienen has been brightened by Treepack with the mural "Voyage voyage. With this, a colorful and dynamic side facade of the elementary school can be discovered. The journey now continues by reintroducing this creative vision to the bustling Bergévest intersection. This time, Tienen focuses extra on the everyday aspect. Even small things amaze in nature. Now pause for a moment in front of the red traffic light next to the stadium to let that sink in.
"Throughout the water and plants are incorporated animals that live in the Gete Valley. This design chose certain local insects such as the thirteen-spotted ladybug, the ground beetle, the dragonfly and the bee that seems to spring from the water strand. Elaborated in detail and rather camouflaged so that it is enjoyable to take a closer look." said Treepack
The bright and vital look is enhanced by the colors of Tienen, white and blue. The combination with warm colors makes the wall a real eye-catcher. With some imagination, the waterline forms a DNA strand with the ever-growing strand of plants. Because of the dynamic composition, there is a lot of movement in the design, that way it blends well into the environment. The coming together of water, plants and animals forms a process that sustains life on earth. As the passerby joins the artwork, life in Tienen becomes a real pleasure.
