Observation, perspective and balance became the starting point for a design in line with Vito's vision of technology for a better world. The final artwork 'POINT OF VIEW' is in fact a visualization of the slogan 'Space is the place to really know the planet'. We look at two anonymously 'sculpted' characters observing a dissected globe floating in their hands from space, among the stars.
Both characters have the same shapely effect as the earthy pieces making them visually merge as one. One male and the other female. From this perspective, the characters take a global look at our planet, gaining macroscopic knowledge about it. The attitude and gaze of the characters exude calmness and intelligence. The characters act as metaphors for satellites, sensors and drones.
The data spectrum of acquired knowledge is visualized in the form of a tangle of satellite/drone images. These images here represent earth, water and greenery. A piece of ice ground is also represented. From one point of view, the tangle merges into the character's head and from the other point of view, the tangle seems to depart from the character's head and is thus sent back out into the universe.
