Treepack gives construction company Siemoens a creative boost with a new mural in Aarsele. The colorful design is based on the construction company's new corporate identity and artistically visualizes Siemoens' values and vision. The mural contains recognizable elements of the family company's history.
The artwork was designed in an illustrated/graphic pop-art genre, inspired by artists such as Roy Liechtenstein and Andy Warhol. The main element of the mural is the gorilla, which also serves as the company's mascot. The gorilla's characterful design reflects Siemoens' values of calmness, security, solidity, strength and caring for employees and customers.
Olivier Siemoens, the company's director, is therefore very pleased with the design and added some personal suggestions of his own. For example, he wanted the gorilla's arms to be slightly more muscular and the hands embracing. This emphasizes the company's values. Olivier also wanted to emphasize the history and evolution of the company, this through the visualization of some recognizable elements. The lifting equipment evolved from a few wooden poles with a rope to several up to date quick-assembly cranes.
The mural provides not only a visual enhancement to the façade of Siemoens Construction Company, but also a unique way to introduce the company to the interested public. The mural and mascot act as a story and attract the attention of passersby and potential customers.
