The Huis van de Tolerantie (House of Tolerance) and Treepack are joining forces and inviting creative people from Leuven to upgrade the neighbourhood of the Brusselsestraat with Street Art!
ZUURSTOF! is a participatory project in which Treepack, the House of Tolerance and My Leuven will upgrade the surroundings of the Brusselsestraat.
Ugly walls, electricity cabins and a tunnel will be refreshed with artworks in a fauna and flora theme by means of (participatory) street art projects and murals.
These Oxygen! projects are part of an overall project, where over a period of two years they will work together with local artists and organisations to create a more pleasant and healthy environment in the city.
The components in this track will take place near the House of Tolerance, and include:
- A participatory mural on an electricity cabin in Brusselsestraat.
- The upgrading of the tunnel at Brusselsestraat (fauna & flora mural).
- Participatory mural on the long wall at the back of the tunnel
The murals are made with Airlite, a paint that purifies polluted air through nanotechnology.
Jonas Tuch and two locals from Leuven - Lotte Falter & Filip Donvil - made a fauna and flora mural on an electricity cabin in the Brusselsestraat in Leuven.
