A colourful route through Beringen
To bring art more into the streetscape and closer to the people, Beringen town council launched the participatory art project
Tour Elentrik this summer.
During this street art project, local artists provided a creative metamorphosis of the electricity boxes spread across Beringen.
From boring, grey boxes to special pearls, each with a story to tell. That is Tour Elentrik!
The source of inspiration was always the street name where the utility box is located. In this way, they make the link with the local history and strengthen the community feeling in the neighbourhood. The painted boxes together form a colourful route through the boroughs of Beringen. The complete route consists of 33 boxes on 26 locations.
