From now on, curious visitors and admirers can take a walk along all these art objects in Terbank Leuven via the Tour Elentrik!
Terbank colours
In May 2019, Camille and Karen from Alvinnenberg vzw took the initiative to start a Street Art project. This is how the
Kom-op-voor-je-wijk workgroup "Terbank Kleurt" came into being with residents of Alvinnenberg vzw and local residents.
First, they looked for a suitable wall to paint on, and later the project was supplemented by Tour Elentrik: painting electricity boxes together with local creative people. The theme 'nature' was preferred as the subject of the works of art.
The local residents, with their colours and scents, initiated a design by one of our street artists(Tuch). The installation of the 27-metre-long mural with a dozen locals soon followed.
To introduce the Tour Elentrik project in Terbank, the locals and residents of vzw Alvinnenberg were able to take part in a workshop, where they were taught how to design and work with spray paint. The next step was obviously to paint the electricity boxes!
