Anyone driving into Leuven will be immersed in a humorous and colorful work of art
Treepack, an organization dedicated to upgrading buildings and spaces with murals, collaborated with the City of Leuven and Parking de Bond to create a new street art piece. Their goal is to bring color and art to garages of Parking De Bond, located under the Martelarenplein in Leuven.
In this project, two walls of Parking de Bond have been transformed with inspiring murals. Over the last year, the administration of the parking lot has carried out a huge amount of renovation work to make entrances and exits to the garages clearer but also more visually appealing to visitors. The impressive works of art will not only delight residents with a new street art cusnt work, it will also provide an entry point for all visitors entering Leuven.
The design by Toon van Ishoven, better known as Artoon, an Antwerp-based street art artist, was the perfect person for this purpose. His design, showing toy cars in a vibrant and colorful composition, is a playful and humorous concept that appeals to a wide audience. Artoon's unique style manages to evoke a sense of nostalgia and joy, combining street art with a youthful imagination. This makes the artwork a crowd pleaser and offers a perfect balance between art and fun.
